Leading up to the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit trade show each year is always an exciting time here at McDill. 2019 was certainly no exception and it’s leaving us feeling like it’s one for the memory book.
A Cosmic Launch
A major highlight was our trade launch of the Cosmic Crisp® apple. We focused our efforts on building buzz both on and off the show floor. We’re pretty sure we turned some heads with a brand presence at The Hilton Hotel and a remote controlled hot air balloon at The Clarion Hotel. Display boxes, collateral and other branded items helped promote Cosmic Crisp® on the floor among several grower booths.
A Legacy That Keeps Growing
With Six Generations of Family Farming behind them, Duda Farm Fresh Foods has a rich history that keeps growing. Trusted to lead their trade messaging, we expanded on our Legacy theme and designed booth graphics that highlighted key differentiators and the Duda family. On what we call “the memory wall,” moments in family and company history came forward to tell a legendary story of American farming.
Step Right Up & Prepare to Be Amazed
Finally! After a period of ramping up volume, our beloved Sweet Carnival Grapes are ready to have their moment. Trust us, the tagline is true: they are as sweet as any carnival treat.
The floral department really stepped up its game this year! For us, the standouts were The Get Inked Floral Collection and the Queens Instagrammable flower chair.
Compostable Potato Packaging
Not only was Earth Fresh serving fries and beer, they knocked us off our feet with their beautiful new sustainable packaging. They are the first in North America to roll out this compostable bag and we are hoping we see it in stores soon.
Fruits and Veg from France got our attention with their dainty and painterly creative. Oh la la indeed.
We’ve pointed them out before and you better believe we will point them out again. We heart oversized packaging!
And That’s a Wrap.
Until next year, Fresh Summit!
